Landscape Design Program: Our professional landscape designer will meet you at your site, discuss the site’s possibilities and challenges with you, and then create design sketches. It is a two hour visit, with a flat fee based on the location of the site. Payment to High Country Gardens is due at the end of the designer’s visit. The customer is then entitled to a 10% discount on all products for an entire year!

We offer on site landscape design solutions by professional landscape designers. Use our consultation service to design a new project or to make improvements and corrections to an existing landscape. Among the many areas that can be covered:

We also can create designs along a special theme, such as a Cactus Rock Garden, a Cottage Garden, a Fragrance Garden, a Rose Garden, or a unique Southwestern Landscape. All designs will emphasize appropriate plant selection, low maintenance, limited water use, and environmentally friendly landscape practices.
Additional services are available to customers who
have had a Landscape Consultation:
Follow-up Visit: A follow-up visit to build upon the design or to develop area’s that weren’t covered by the first 2 hour visit.
- Plant Placement: The designer returns to the site and physically marks the position of the plants. This is usually done with survey flags containing the names of the plants. Layout of beds can also be marked using a similar process.
- Site Supervision: The consultant arranges with the customer to be on site to supervise the installation.
We also can be of service by providing these services:
- Plant Selection and Holding: The consultant will use the consultation plant list to select plant material and place it on hold for the customer to pick-up. The fee for this service is $25.
- Tree Visit: A certified Arborist will make a 20-minute visit to diagnose plant problems and suggest treatment or to suggest an appropriate plant for a specific location.
